Halloween Skull Party Package

A friend of mine gave me a great idea of adding party packages to just my regular guest book in my shop.  Since Halloween is shortly here, I decided to get creative with my artphilosphy cartridge, wall decor cartridge, some halloween scrapbook paper and green glitter.

And, I am working on creating an guest book album to match the set.

 Right now, the standard package includes 4 Table Number cards, 

5 food label cards, and 32 place cards.

 The food label cards are about 2.5" x 4" with the pop up skull. 

And, I can personalize them for an additional charge.

 The table numbers are tent cards. 

I used green glitter on the white numbers to give them some "pop".

 These place cards are 1.5" x 3.5". The papers came from a holiday stack that DCWV sold two seasons ago (yeah I know I horde paper).

What do you think? I can change up the colors and do a reverse of the purple and green. Are you planning a spook-tac-ular Halloween party this year?

Zebra Baby Shower Guest Book Album

What a handsome little zebra! I love this! I used a cut of designer paper from CTMH's Roxie Collection and a die cut zebra thanks to my cricut to create this custom baby shower guest book album.

The inside pages are lagoon.

Mini Smash Book

 I've been hearing a ton about smash books lately. Apparently, EK Success has a blank version of a smash book out that you can buy and make your own. I decided to give it a try. I came to realize that I've been making "smash" books for quite some time and just hadn't been calling them that.

I used my Bind it All, a bunch of scraps from my paper bin, and CTMH Roxie Acrylic Stamp Set to make this one.

There are probably way to many photos here, but bear with me, I wanted to show you some samples of where I stamped and the different sizes of papers I used in this book.

I stamped a little too hard on the left page and got a smudge of CTMH Cocoa Ink. Ordinarily, I'd rip out the page because it wasn't perfect. However, because this is a smash book, it isn't ment to be perfect, so my mistake just may turn out to become part of something special.

These are a set of little half pages I put in. If you've ever got those paper stacks of cut up papers from a local scrapbook supply store, you've probably seen these or have some in your stash.

 Most of the pages in this book are 5 1/4" square. But you'll find some are 3" and 4" wide x 5 1/4" too. I used mainly pink and hot pink with a few ivory pages.

I have this habit on not being able to throw away left over scraps of ribbon and paper. Bug wanted to help, so I left her use my stamp sets and stamp out some roses, hearts, and other images that we cut out of white card stock. Then we took a handful of tags, embellishments, scrap ribbons, and stickers and stuck them in a little clear bag to cooridnate with our smash book. Bell added a fuzzy pen and asked if she could have it as a christmas exchange gift for one of her friends in girl scouts.

What a neat idea. Don't you think?

Rose Scrapbook Journal

 I've had this fabric in my stash for a while, it wasn't until I had a vintage rose book cover request that I this fabric came to mind.  This vintage rose design is made of upholstry fabric.  I added two rose book marks -- one for him and one for her.

The inside signature pages are stamped with a burgandy rose, and in the back of this rose scrapbook journal are 20 double sided burgandy pages for pictures.

Baseball Autograph Album

Using the baseball card sleeves to organize my stamps gave me an idea for an baseball autograph album.

There's forty white card stock pages in this album that have been designed using publisher with a baseball player in the bottom corner of each page.  The autograph album is 5.5" x 8.5" so it's easy to take along to those baseball games and pass off for autographs.

Because the card stock is acid and lignin-free it's also good for attaching those baseball photos from this season's game. It's easy to record games and collect photos. 

All finished, it would also be a great gift for a baseball coach at the end of the year. You know a little scrapbook filled with game stats, player signatures, player cards, and game photos.

Simple Punched Pages

Brown is one of those soft warm colors that make the warm winter season seem so much more cozier. I love this textured paper with just the tracing of a flowered branch across it.

When I first started putting together this cover with paper I couldn't decide if I wanted to keep it simple or give it a little punch.

Of course, I was in my local craft shop and I came across this edge puncher and knew I had to have it. I used a EK Success border punch (affiliate link) on all the pages of this guest book album.

I got so excited by this punch that I didn't think to add any scrapbook photo pages inside the guest book album. I guess it could also be used as a journal, too.

The pages are simple, yet I think the punched border gives it a simplistic elegance of all it's own.

I slipped it into a brown felt sleeve with a piece of ribbon to hold down the flap closure.

What do you think, to punch or not to punch pages?

Leaf Guest Book Album

Normally, I like to give my albums a title. What's a book without a title right? This album we're simply going to call "Panda". My oldest daughter said the designed reminded her of Pandas. Her best friend likes Pandas and everyone knows Panda's like to eat bamboo leaves. That's what reminded her of the Pandas...the leaves.

I thought they looked more like palm leaves, but who am I to argue with the mind of an eight-year-old?

So.. PANDA it is.

As you can see, once the parchment paper dried, it came out very nice. I cut it to size and laid it in as our first page. You can see through the parchment paper to the next page of the book. I actually did a cut out of  leaf and the green you see is the next page attached.

It's a perfect page for writing in the name, date, or event of this album.

As you can see in these two photos, I added some special photo pages. Like my other albums, you can slide a 3.5" x 5" photo graph into the rounded corners of these pre-designed areas.  I added some dimensional and stamped and glittered leaves along with some simple word usage like: believe, hope, cherish.

In between the green photo pages are ivory card stock pages stamped with a single leaf.

Since all the pages of this album are acid-free and lingign-free. These blank pages can be used for signatures and well wishes for a guest book or additional photographs for a lovely album.

And it wouldn't be a MRsCHADT handcrafted book without my new signature book pouches.

This one I stamped with the same green leaf that I used in the album. I took some green netting for the closure and a simple white bead.

My favorite feature of this album is the see through parchment page stamped and traced in glitter. What do you like best?

Leaf Page Designs

Today I thought I'd show you the designs for the leaf guest book album I recently finished.

I wanted to give this book an elegant touch by placing a thin see through first page. So I thought the embossed papers that you can usually pick up in any craft store, but I wanted mine to be unique to the book itself.

So I decided to experiment with some parchment paper, stamps, and glitter pen(affiliate link).

As you can see, the wetness of the ink caused the parchment paper to slightly wrinkle. It actually added some nice texture to the paper. I went over the stamp with a glitter pen.

Then I decided to try out the stamp and glitter over some of the photo pages. Add a little sparkle around those cherished moments in this album.

They have to lay out over night to dry. Don't want any pages sticking together!
