Golden Floral Wedding Guest Book Album

This traditional japanese stab stitch wedding guest book album is so pretty with the gold floral design. It's one of the few golden themed books I've done in a long time.

What do you think, is this book golden or what?

Bar Mitzvah Guest Book

I love the teal and eggplant colors of this cover pattern. You can't see it in the photo, but it's sparkly with glitter. This guest book was created for a young girl's Bar Mitzvah today.

Inside pages for this Bar Mitzvah book are double lined column with the word "Guest" at the top. In the back behind the eggplant photo pages are more double lined column pages for recording gifts.

I'm now well over 200 books made! Looking forward to creating 200 more!

This is defintely black tie formal kind of reception. :)

Wedding Recipe Book

This is a custom bridal shower guest book that I created recently in a turquios damask. The pages are heavy laser paper with the bride's inital in the bottom right hand corner of the pages.

I believe the guest will be asked to fill out their favorite recipe on the pages for the bride.

I made a another wedding guest book with this same cover for another couple that I'll be sharing in a few days. The next one will have different pages and be a little more on the formal side. :)

Either way, this is a beautiful book and I really enjoyed working with this customer to create a one of a kind keepsake.

Journal Album? or Guest Book?

Formal elegance in all it's splendor!

I've had these papers dangling in my DCWV Luxury Stack (affiliate link) for quite some time now. Because of the print it was hard for me to cut and waste a lot of the paper to make the 5.5" x 8.5" guest book albums and the positioning of the paper for the larger 8.5" x 11" wouldn't work.

Then it occurred to me these were perfect pages to create more 8 x 8 journal albums. I know.. I know... more 8 x 8 soft covers.

After I put these precious journal albums together it occurred to me that they could be more than journals. I used the scraps to create a book mark for each and included a matching pen for a complete gift set. But, I can't help thinking that these journal albums could also be used as Bride's Journals, Wedding Planner, and most of all a guest book for a wedding or shower.

The covers make them very formal and elegant. So, I went ahead and stamped the corners of the pages with coordinating colors. Pink and Gold, Navy, and Blue. The photo below is the pink and gold journal album, and I used the corner floral stamp.

I have three different colors available:

Pink and Gold

Navy and Silver
or
Baby Blue and Silver

So is it a Journal Album or is it a Guest Book?  What do you think?

Pregnancy and Mommy Journals

I was quite impressed how yesterday's paperback book came out so well. I guess you could say I got carried away. My paper cutter is probably happy to have a breather after all the cutting and scoring I've done to create this last bunch of books.

I really like these 8 x 8 sized paperback journals. I've also been on a pink kick lately and have noticed that my shops are low on baby themed guest books.

I've always been one to journal, journal almost every day if I can. But I remember journaling through my pregnancies and even after my babies were born Chad bought me this "mommy journal". It was just a simple wire bound book with blank pages and it was divided into three sections on each page and each section had a place for a date. Inside this mommy journal you'd write things like miles stones, firsts (words, steps, etc...), and even funny things or just something your child did that day you wanted to remember.

I enjoy filling out that journal and alot of time I'd tape picture inside it too.

So when I created this last batch of paperback journals I decided to put photo pages in the back. I've officially named them "Journal Albums".

With the sweet pink and nursery rhyme theme they'd make a wonderful mommy journal or even a pregnancy journal.  There's 100 pages for writing and between 14 and 20 pages for photos (each book varies due to book colors).

The photo above is the Strawberry covered Journal Album . It has pink writing pages and red photo pages.

Just like yesterday's paperback book, you could also use these journals as guest book. I left most of them blank, but stamped a few, like this floral one. I got carried away with flowers.

And I stamped this one with the cute little chic to match the little chic cover on the front

Can you imagine your little one reading this and looking at all the photos when they're ready to be parents?

And yes, for all you mothers of boys, I can create them with boy theme colors and prints too. :)

Paperbacks Just Got Bigger

I've been pondering the idea of making some bigger sized paperback guest book albums this past week. The smaller paperbacks (5.5" x 8.5") have been growing in popularity lately. It seems they're being used most often for baby showers, bridal showers, and retirement albums (in place of a card).

Where as the hardbound guest books (small and medium size) are more popular with weddings.

I've had some 8 x 8 paper stacks sitting on my work counter for a few months now and haven't been sure what to do with them. Sometime I cut them down to make the 5.5" x 7.5" albums but got to thinking I'd add a new size and style to the shop this week.

So, I put together this 8" x 8" paperback guest book album.
It's all pretty in pink with it's floral print and glittery highlights.  I used pink signature pages stamped with a floral swag.

For the photo pages I added yellow card stock (acid and lignin- free) in the back and stamped with this cute flower bouquet stamp.

Then I couldn't help but thinking that stab stitch wasn't going to work for this book. It needed something more feminine, so I used my zutter bind-it-all (affiliate link) and punched the binding holes. then using one inch wide satin pink ribbon I laced the binding and double knotted it with a bow.

It almost reminds me of going to one of those fancy tea parties, all pretty and dressed up and totally girlie.

What do you think, does the size work for the cover style?

Pretty in Pink - Custom Order

I made this guest book a few months ago for a couple getting married today. I thought in honor of their vows I'd show case their guest book.

It's a simple paperback guest book with traditional stab stitch binding.

The inside pages were regular sketchbook pages stamped with sliver snowflakes.

Best wishes to the bride and groom!
