Hawaiian Daisy Wedding Guest Book

In just a few days, this cheerful daisy guest book will become filled with a couple's Hawaiian guests best wishes and advice.

I couldn't resist adding this little card to put beside their book. I used the ATypeset Stamp Set (A1117) to stamp the wording.

Since there was so much green in this Hawaiian daisy guest book album, I added a touch of purple ribbon to the book and don't you just love that pop of orange from the flowers on the card?

Something Old - Vintage Theme Wedding Guest Book

Something blue, something old, and something totally new describes this vintage themed wedding guest book album that was custom made for Andrea and Alex.

Inspired from a autograph book entitled "Bon Voyage" in my shop, this guest book takes on the vivid colors of a peacock. Stitched with golden thread, and yet still vintage in style.
There are no photo pages in this custom wedding guest book.  The pages are recycled brown kraft, which were supplied from a neighboring shop, KraftyGirl, on etsy.
Inside pages say: "Special note to the bride and groom"

Scalloped Rose Birthday Card

The very first project I did with my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (I promise I'll stop saying those words soon) is this birthday card. This card is actually a sample receipe in the instruction book. Everything on this card was cut out by my Cricut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge (oops I said it again.)

The girls and I had a lot of fun twisting up the roses on this card. We even went so far as to cut out several different colors of the scallop cards that we can save for a rainy or snowy day to work on when the kids are home from school.

I'm thinking we'll save this card and give it to my sister in law whose birthday is just right around the corner. So many birthdays... so many cards to make... thank goodness for my Art Philosophy Cartridge!

I'm taking tomorrow off from blogging in order to prepare for Bell's birthday celebration. If you miss me, you can find me over at Sell Craft for my usual Friday post.

No. 3 Card

Today I wanted to show you how simple it can be to make a handmade card. Some times less is more. It all goes back to the K.I.S.S. theory.

This simple little card is for my niece who will be turning three next month. If you've been around a three-year-old then you know that most of them can't read, and it's the present they tear into and the card just gets tossed aside for Mom to find later while she's cleaning up after the party. LOL...

The "3" die cut comes from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. (Same as my last two projects and yet more to come.)

I loved putting the three little dots on the card, knowing my niece would be able to count them and the three little flowers too. Three dots, three flowers, and just a three for a special little girl on her birthday. Now, I just have to go out and find her an awesome birthday present.

Do you remember what your three year old wanted for their birthday?

Cupcake Celebration Card

Bella's Birthday is this week, so I made her this cupcake celebration card. I used my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut out the cupcake and tag, and when you order the Art Philosophy Cartridge you also get three really great stamp sets. I used the Birthday Cupcake Celebration Stamp Set.

Bella's favorite color is purple - just like her mom - so I made her card pink and purple.

I stamped the inside too! It's just too sweet. I can't wait to give it to her!

Want to make a card like this of your own?
Here's my special receipe:

Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge - cut out 2.5" cup cake  and 1. 75 tag
My Acrylix Stamp Set - Size D - Birthday Celebration (comes with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge)
Embroidery Floss
Coordinating Stamp Pads to match your color design

You can make this card in any colors of your choice.

Trick or Treat Art Philosophy Style

I've been on a Halloween kick lately. That, and I'm happy to announce that if you've been waiting to receive your Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, they're now being shipped. I received mine a few days ago.

One of the first projects I made with it was these cute little treat baskets using the "Wicked" (S1108) stamp set. I can't wait to fill them with goodies for handing out on Halloween.

Thanks to the Art Philosophy Cartridge you can make these almost any size and color, and decorate them for any occasion. I'm thinking of filling mine with sweet tarts or smarties. Maybe a mini Hershey bar, what do you think?

Notebook Tutorial

Today I thought I would walk you through making your very own note books as I showed you some examples a few weeks ago here.

Step 1: You're going to need the following supplies:
*A pair of scissors
*Glue (I used good ole Elmer's for this tutorial but I find that Bonding Memories Glue (1512) works well too and isn't as messy as Elmers)
* A paint brush (only if you're using Elmer's glue)
*Paper Trimmer (Z338)
*2 sheets of any B&T Duo paper of your choice (front and back of your notebook)

Now that you've got everything you need, let's move on to Step 2.
STEP 2:

You're going to need to use your paper trimmer and cut your paper to 6 3/4" x 9 1/2"

 Step 3:
Add your adhesive to the front cover of a composition notebook.
 Step 4:
Attach your 6 3/4" x 9 1/2" scrapbook paper to the front cover, lining it up with the edge of the notebook's binding.

Step 5:
Take a pair of scissors and trim the paper at the outer corners so you have rounded edge.

Step 6:
Repeat Steps 2 - 5 on the back side of your notebook

Step 7:
Decorate and embellish as desired!

I'd love to see your notebook creations! You can post them on my fan page on facebook at www.facebook.com/mrschadt.

Cricut Creative Center

Today I wanted to share you with you my new creative cut center by Organizing Essentials. I've had my eye on it at Joann's for a while now, and I finally took the plunge. The 50% off coupon in my purse didn't hurt either. :)

Chad put this together for me last week, I'm so excited. I love that I can put all my book cover papers in the slots, my stamp sets in a drawer, and my tools. It has a little board flap on the side that you can put up for extra space for setting things. I keep mine down for now, but will probably stack my embellishment containers there.

Isn't this just the coolest little creative cut station?

My Cricut has already got top dibs for on top. :) It worked great during my open house last week, I was able to set up a "stamping station" using my creative cut center for everyone to stamp their cards and have little stations to move around for card making.

I think Joann Fabrics just dropped the price on this item to $149.99. Use a 50% off coupon, it's a bargain!

Now I just have to fill it all up with my supplies!

Baby Girl Shower Card

One of the guys Chad works with just became a first time father. The guy is probably walking on cloud nine while his poor wife is exhausted. Oh, but the joy a baby brings to our lives!

Yesterday, I went out and bought a small gift, as we were invited to a gathering to welcome the new baby. All that pink frilly stuff almost had me wishing my girls were that little again. Almost. :)

I made this cute little pink card to go with the gift.

I've almost got everything set up in my new studio. I'll give a peek inside once it's all finished. Until then, I have a few more treats up my sleeves for you this week and some up coming videos and tutorials. :)

Baby Whoo

I received these photos from a customer of mine on Etsy this past week.  I love it when my customers send me photos of their special occasion! I made this HOOT HOOT BABY SHOWER BOOK and shipped it out, hoping it would reach it's destination in time for this special baby shower.  Doesn't the book look so cute at the signing table with all those colored pens and the owls?

What a lovely baby shower!! Thank you so much Karissa for sharing your photos with us and choosing one of my handmade books. I was so delighted to receive these photos. I always look forward to hearing from you all and seeing how your special occasion turned out.

I didn't share pictures of the mom to be, but trust me she was glowing!

Hats Off to You Halloween Card

I've been in a fall Halloween mood. Perhaps it was the kick off card for my open house that started it all, if not.. we'll still blame the card.  I couldn't resist stamping the black cat inside this unique flip card. I'll do a tutorial on it soon, I promise.

I used the WICKED stamp set, Black Card Stock, and AUTUMN TERRACOTTA card stock to make this card.

I've been super swamped with custom book orders this week. Yesterday, Bella needed a new lunch box, so we headed to Walmart after supper and I spent half the night packaging orders. Talk about being exhausted!

My plan is to finish the note book tutorial this weekend and put together some cute holiday/fall themed things for you all this week.

Bug goes to school on Tuesday, and I've recently secured my new space over at the Pajama Factory. I'm so excited! No more being shoved in the back corner of the basement!!

For all of you who love art and photography, First Friday is tomorrow at the Pajama Factory. It's free, It's fun, and you get to see a whole lot of wonder photography pieces by a lot of talented people. Hey, you might even see me there, as I do plan to attend. :)

I've a few more custom book orders calling my name this evening, see you later!!
